About BachaSuave
Our Story
Since 2021, Alma La Base has been the heart of BachaSuave, building this vibrant community with genuine love and passion. Here, the world of Bachata meets the elegance of "Suave" - a word that defines how we move: smoothly, confidently, and graciously.
As a Bachata dance school in both Zurich and Rotkreuz, we focus on more than just steps: we want to be your second home. Here, the pressure to be perfect disappears, replaced by the joy of dancing together. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, we invite you to discover your own rhythm and become part of a community.
What is Bachata?
Bachata is a rhythmic dance originating from the Dominican Republic, defined by its signature "three steps and a tap" pattern. Today, Bachata has evolved and danced socially as a fusion of influences: taking on elements of Hip Hop, Brazilian Zouk, Tango, and Contemporary.
At BachaSuave, we put a special focus on the Sensual, BachaZouk, and Influence styles. We believe Bachata is a conversation between partners - one that requires technical precision but is driven by the heart.
Bachata music is known for its romantic guitar melodies and driving percussion, and can be danced at all corners of the world.

Our group classes are designed for those who want to learn Bachata in a warm and social atmosphere. Here, you’ll dive deep into the world of Bachata, moving through our structured levels from Starter to Advanced (couple dance). Under the guidance of Alma and our expert instructors, you will master the "suave" style. Join us with or without partner.

PRIVATE CLASSES
For a truly tailored experience, we offer one-on-one private sessions. These are perfect if you want to fast-track your progress, refine specific sensual techniques, or work on your individual styling at your own pace. Our teachers focus entirely on your personal goals, helping you build the confidence and grace that define the BachaSuave style.
